What exactly is fostering? Fostering is when you bring a shelter pet into your home temporarily. This may be because they are too young to stay at the shelter, need medical care that prevents them from being adoptable, or they may just need a little extra care due to stress, age, or behavior. Right now, AGC is solely foster-based which means we can't help any animals without a network of loving foster homes. 

AGC provides our foster homes with everything they need and communicates with fosters frequently. We screen all the adopters and let you know when your foster pet has a good match! We schedule meet and greets with the potential adopter at our facility or at your home and walk you through every step of the way. Fostering is one of the biggest ways you can support our shelter! Fostering saves hundreds of lives every year and makes a lasting impact on the animals you help and our community!
